The Fury of Gaia

The Gigantomachy

Gaia, Mother Earth according to Greek mythology, is upset and angry about what is happening in the Titanomachy. She does not want Zeus and the other gods to control the world. She is especially sad for her other children, the Titans, who were defeated and imprisoned in a dark and creepy place called Tartarus. Gaia feels a lot of pain and anger for them, however, she has a cunning plan.

She decides to create the giants, huge beings that came from the blood of Uranus and were raised by her. These giants are very brave, and she uses them to try to take power away from Zeus and the other gods. Thus begins a war, a fight between the forces of nature and the powers of heaven, the Gigantomachy.
